| What do you know, Boholanas in Rotterdam! |
After about two weeks in Rotterdam, I, finally, met up with Farrah and Peter.
Farrah and I almost actually arrived in the Netherlands around the same weekend. She was slightly ahead by a day, I think. We actually last saw each other at the premiere of the Dagon sa Hoyohoy musicale back in Bohol - and voila - here we are, drinking beer al fresco in Rotterdam's Witte de With.
Anyway, Farrah is no Rotterdam newbie, she usually stays over in Rotterdam with Dutch boyfriend Peter half of each year. As this is essentially their neighborhood, she and Peter gave me the 411 and a sampler of the Witte de With (Withstraat) cafe scene.

| Beers, cheers! |
| What struck me as strange was the lack of music. Farrah says it could get loud late nights. |
| Nothing says uncool like a cool sign. |
| And even though we weren't drunk in the slightest, they gave me a taste of what's it like to be hereabouts with, what else, the go-to hangover food - kapsalon - a Dutchified plate of shawarma (sans pita) meat with chips, veggies, cheese, drizzled with garlic sauce. |
| We walked around the area abit... |
| And headed for Rotterdam Central where Peter taught me how to get back to the campus via tram (my first solo ride, in fact). |
