I am now a Netherlands Resident.

It's official - my Dutch Residence ID says so.

Jinxd me is over today -- I got my residence ID without a glitch!

After the room-less fiasco and being belatedly installed into the BB system, I am just thankful because others weren't as lucky. IHS today became a one-stop shop for our registration services with the Immigration as well as the Rotterdam City Government. We were all supposed to pick up our cards today but somehow, there were snags in the other's as they weren't able to collect their residence ID's today. And they will have to visit the Immigration Office another day.

The city registration also went smoothly as long as one presented all the required documents. The student organization Erasmus Student Network (ESN) was also there. We registered and got ourselves some freebies.

ESN freebies!
It was also from ESN where we got our free Lebara sim cards last week. We collected them at their office just nearby the F-Building.

Sim cards here are generally free. I dunno with other providers but Lebara offers free calls Lebara to Lebara.
The previous week, I already got my school ID, insurance, opened an ING account and received the named bank card in my mail. So today pretty much marks the end of the paper works we needed to do (for the luckier of us).

Mug shot on my student card.
Note that it only covers til the 25th of September 2017.
This named bank card arrived in my mailbox a week after opening my account.
